A long trip, a long stay at home

Settling in for a while…<!–

Since June 2017, we’ve lived in 10 places. Peregrine is one year old and he’s lived in four different houses. We’ve moved around.

But now we are approved to stay at the missionary housing location where we’re currently living until the end of June 2021!

We are very thankful for the stability this housing opportunity will provide our family. Over the next year here we’re planning to work on our next assignment from home, and (we hope) train to become a translation consultant. (Pray for Benjamin’s interview Friday morning 4/24.) It will also allow us to enjoy the woods, work in the community garden, watch lambs and kids grow up, chase the guinea hens, start kindergarten for Mira, and figure out where in the world we might be moving next for our Wycliffe assignment.

We are also very thankful that our current housing is very affordable. Because of this, we were able to request a reduction in our Wycliffe ministry budget for the next year. Due to our revised ministry budget and 5 new financial partners who joined our ministry team this past week, we are happy to report that we now only lack 25% of our budget. Thank you for praying!

Many of you know that we traveled up to Maryland & Pennsylvania for a few weeks to share about our ministry in February and March. We really enjoyed our time with friends and family and we had a number of opportunities to invite people and churches to be a part of our ministry. Thankfully, we were able to make our last church presentation of the trip the Sunday before everyone canceled church, (and gain a new church partnership!).

The team Benjamin is joining is a remote, mostly working-from-home group. Please pray fervently for us to quickly be fully funded so he can make the most of our stay-at-home order! Please consider if you can be a part of moving Bible translation forward even while everything else has ground to a halt.
