Would you pray:
We could check the whole book of Genesis.
Remember how we were checking Genesis 1-9? I don’t either… :=) We got started the first morning and the local team got looking around and thinking. We have 6-7 translators, 6 consultants in training (CiTs), and two consultants… Let’s split into two teams.
After lunch, it was three and we’ve split Genesis up so every team (two CiTs, two translators) has about 17 chapters.
The team would be absolutely thrilled if we can actually pull this off, but we have only prepped 9 chapters, so we’re going to be scrambling to review… pray for us all – that we wouldn’t miss things and that the rapidly formed teams would work together right and that the CiTs who just got thrown into the deep end would perform well (we’re gonna lead checking on our second day!).
Also, pray that we have enough power. The compound we’re on has a large battery backup, it can run the lights for 5 hours. A few plugs are also on the battery. This afternoon, we didn’t have power for over an hour so all the laptops were running on batteries and the router and projector were the only things plugged in. We can work until those things give out so pray we have enough power to charge things between outages.
