** Handing the work off? ———————————————————— Immediately after my Caucasus trip, the Ron in Nigeria got together to check the remaining 25 chapters of Genesis. My mentor Consultant and fellow Consultant in Training (CiT) joined them via Zoom and a Nigerian CiT was there with them, but I was allowed to step aside as I recovered from the jetlag. It turned out that was just as well since they apparently did almost nothing. It seems that the training we’ve been working on delivering to the Ron pastors, deacons, and community members has begun to pay off. They divided into 5 teams and were able to check those 25 chapters in Genesis in 2.5 days with basically no input from those of us on this side of the globe! It went so well that my mentor is trying to convince them that we should not come for the next checking session lest we become seen as the holders of the approval for scripture instead of that being in the local church where it belongs.
** More violence ———————————————————— Sadly, on Christmas day I started getting messages from the team in central Nigeria. The Muslim herders had attacked in several places on Christmas Eve killing 100-200 people and injuring many more. Please pray for an end to these attacks. (News report here.
