At Home and Away

** Home again, Home again ————————————————————
After two months on the road, it’s nice to be back home. We enjoyed getting to see many of you. Thank you for the many encouragements and blessings. We now have two “homes” as our four-month home buying process wrapped up this week. We’re home-owners for the first time! Now we have a lot of fixing up to do in one and a lot of packing up to do in the other as we work towards moving in. As Benjamin works either from home, or flies away to mostly-international workshops, we’re excited to have a stable base to call our own.
** Caucasus workshop (remote) ———————————————————— At the end of February, we had a virtual workshop with the translation teams we’d worked with in November. It really showcased the power of great local administration. After they finished describing their process and progress we went from, “we have this training for you,” to, “could this team train others?”
Not only have they translated half of Mark since November, they’ve been using it in their homes, churches, and street evangelism–and it is being well-received. Praise God. Pray that we can finish figuring out a keyboard issue that remains and for a larger team for one of the languages. Joseph (Alis i Ron, Nigeria) on the impact of having the Bible in his language. ** Travel ———————————————————— We thought Benjamin had a light travel year, but a few meetings recently have filled up the calendar with at least potential travel plans. Right now he’s getting ready for a two-week workshop at the end of April in Indonesia. Pray for everything to come together for the workshop and for the travel for the “local” teams (who will still have significant travel in Indonesia) and the training team coming from America, Venezuela, and India.
A little closer to home, Benjamin will be at some training for his Wycliffe Consultant cohorts in Atlanta next week. Invest in Bible Translation by giving to our Wycliffe Ministry (abidinginhesed.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=db546fcb26a533fdfc86dbb4a&id=2e760e7de0&e=aea6dceb05)
