Indonesia Workshop

** Indonesia Workshop ———————————————————— It’s a real blessing when you get to a workshop and things are as they were described, when the people you need to be there show up, and when you accomplish basically all that you hoped going in. Last month’s workshop was one of those. We didn’t have a lot of surprises so we could stay on plan, we had good participation by the local church leaders, and we ended with several checked chapters of Mark and Luke, a clearer understanding of roles, and a signed agreement on the translation goals and standards. Along the way we sung a bunch of classic hymns in Indonesian and laughed a lot.
Please pray for the teams there, as they feel a bit of stress regarding the timeline they have for this project. Pray that they’d be able to realize the vision they shared of using this translation for family worship (mothers reading to their children came up several times as one of their hopes), Sunday schools, in church, and for outreach.

** Upcoming Travel ———————————————————— Benjamin has trips to Florida and Kenya for meetings in the coming weeks. Please be in prayer for successful times of connection with teammates and co-workers. Shanna and the kids will be traveling to spend some of this time with family as well. Pray for safe travels for all.
